Our next event will be a Wesleyan seminar called ‘Top 5 Financial Tips’, followed by cheese and wine. This will take place at Taylor Vinters’ offices at 6.30 pm on Wednesday 23 April.

The address and a map for Taylor Vinters’ offices may be found at

The seminar will be provided by the CJLD’s sponsor, Wesleyan, and will focus on relevant topics such as debt management; mortgages; income protection; retirement and employee benefits.

Questions may be sent in anonymously in advance. The seminar should provide useful information and could be particularly relevant to anyone thinking of stepping onto the property ladder over the next few years!

Please email Ali on if you wish to attend so that we know how much CHEESE and WINE to order! We very much hope you will be able to join us!

CJLD Charity Ball – UPDATE

By | Archive | No Comments

We have now checked with the venue and they are confident that the Ball will be unaffected by today’s events and that there will be a warm welcome awaiting guests on Saturday evening. In the words of Freddie Mercury “The show must go on” and what a show we’ve got lined up.

We have various entertainments booked for the night alongside our marvelous band. We have been very lucky and secured some top end sponsorship so there will be an extensive range or raffle prizes available on the night, there is talk of Aston Martin, Apple, Bang & Olufsen prizes amongst many more. The tickets will be sold on the night and drawn after the meal please be aware there will be fundraising happening on the night.

We are sure there will be more than enough fun at the ball itself, however if you would like to continue the party you can book queue jump entrance to Vodka Revolution (just across the road) by buying a ticket here, all entrants to be there before 12:30 and you must make them aware you have been to the ball.

Please don’t forget to bring your ticket along with you.  We look forward to seeing you on the night.
